Alumni – Success Stories

Graduates of the cinema program at the University of Hartford are prepared for employment in media industries or graduate studies in film.

Cinema alumni have written, directed, produced and crewed on films in major media centers like Los Angeles and New York City, as well as local productions in Connecticut. Others have pursued careers in television with rewarding production positions at MTV, HBO, Cartoon Network, E! Entertainment Television and local television news in the Hartford area like Fox 61 and in other regions. Our graduates have had their films shown at impressive film festivals and become engaged in vital arts organizations like Real Art Ways, Hartford’s nationally known media arts center. Some have continued their study of film in graduate school at Columbia University, New York University, the City University of New York, University of Southern California, American Film Institute, and George Washington University.
